About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium to design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for high-quality software delivery. You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure robust testing coverage and help drive continuous integration and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Selenium WebDriver automation scripts for web applications.
  • Analyze requirements, create detailed test cases, and automate repetitive test scenarios.
  • Execute automated tests, log defects, and track them to closure using defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Perform regression testing and ensure software stability after code changes.
  • Collaborate with manual testers to identify areas for automation.
  • Maintain and optimize the existing automation framework for scalability and performance.
  • Provide detailed testing reports and documentation.

Required Skills

  • Automation Tools: Selenium WebDriver (Java / Python / C#)
  • Test Frameworks: TestNG / JUnit / NUnit
  • Programming Languages: Strong in Java (preferred) / Python / C#
  • Build & CI Tools: Maven / Gradle, Jenkins / GitLab CI / Azure DevOps
  • Version Control: Git / Bitbucket
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of locators, waits, page object model (POM), and data-driven testing.
  • Experience with API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured (preferred).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like Selenium Grid, BrowserStack, or Sauce Labs.

Good to Have

  • Experience in BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
  • Knowledge of Performance Testing tools (JMeter).
  • Exposure to Docker and containerized test environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium, Java) will be a plus.
