Role & responsibilities

  • Designing, creating, and implementing Java-based applications.
  • Capable of working individually or as a team member as per company requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead the design, develop, and maintain backend services while ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of the services.
  • Implementing REST/JSON based web services.
  • Designing and implementing database schemas
  • Use Agile methodology to deliver incrementally and related tools like JIRA for task management.
  • Interpreting briefs to create high-quality coding that functions according to specifications.
  • Ensuring that written code falls in line with the project objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of popular Java Spring boot/ Spring frameworks.
  • Assisting other developers with troubleshooting, debugging, and coding.
  • Meeting deadlines for fast-paced deliverables.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 8+ years of work experience as a Senior Java Developer or similar role.
  • Experience of working in a fintech company/Payment gateway/Banking domain/Lending will be appreciated.
  • Experience with Java 8 and 11, Spring Boot/Framework, Hibernate, API design and development.
  • Practical experience in using IntelliJ, Tomcat webserver, Postman, 7 zip compression tool, Microsoft SQL, JIRA, Confluence, Microservices Docker, Version Control Systems (SVN, Git, GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket etc).
  • Excellent Development Experience with AWS Marketplace, Azure Cloud
  • Good Knowledge of DDD Methodology and SOLID Principles.
  • Good in Writing BDD Driven Unit Test Cases.
  • Experience working with cloud technology Azure, OpenShift, AWS, Docker etc.
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • BSc/BE/BT in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
