Role Overview

As a
Testing & Commissioning Engineer
, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant commissioning of OJUS lift installations at client sites. The role demands strong technical acumen, attention to detail, and hands-on field expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of elevator systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-commissioning checks and full system testing of newly installed lifts.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and control system verification to ensure performance meets OJUS standards and statutory requirements.
  • Calibrate, adjust, and fine-tune elevator systems for optimal ride quality and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and rectify faults during testing, commissioning, or trial runs.
  • Coordinate with installation teams, project engineers, and OEM partners to ensure readiness for handover.
  • Prepare and maintain test reports, commissioning documentation, and compliance checklists.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, quality protocols, and client specifications.
  • Support service teams in troubleshooting and post-commissioning technical issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians during field assignments (for Senior roles).
  • Represent OJUS professionally during site audits, inspections, and client demonstrations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of lift/elevator mechanical and electrical systems (traction, hydraulic, control panels, drives, sensors).
  • Hands-on experience with testing tools, measuring instruments, and commissioning software.
  • Knowledge of relevant IS / EN standards and safety norms.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate across departments.
  • Problem-solving mindset with focus on safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Preferred Experience

  • Commissioning experience with leading lift/elevator brands or OEMs.
  • Exposure to both residential and commercial lift installations.
  • Experience in handling multi-speed traction systems, MRL lifts, and advanced control systems.
  • Familiarity with VFDs, PLC-based control, and fault diagnostics.
