EVE Healthcare is building the largest tech-integrated diagnostic chain in India and working on AI-driven solutions for medical imaging. We are a fast-growing health-tech startup combining technology, diagnostics, and AI to improve patient experience.

We are looking for a Backend Intern to join our tech team and work closely with our CTO on building scalable and secure backend systems for our healthcare products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django/Django Rest Framework (DRF).
  • Design and implement REST APIs for web and mobile applications.
  • Work with databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), write queries, and manage data models/migrations.
  • Integrate APIs with frontend/mobile apps and third-party services.
  • Manage version control using GitHub (pull requests, code reviews, branch management).
  • Assist in AWS integration: S3, EC2, environment variables, and deployment scripts.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure production-ready code with proper testing.

Required Skills

  • Strong Python programming skills.
  • Experience with Django and Django Rest Framework.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ORM (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflow.
  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and optimize code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Knowledge of Docker and containerized deployment.
  • Understanding of API authentication and security (JWT, OAuth2).
  • Awareness of medical imaging data formats like DICOM (not mandatory).
  • Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS, S3, EC2).
