Senior Manager, Automation

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager – Automation & AI with 15+ years of overall experience. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation solutions using RPA, AI, and Gen AI technologies in India Hub business operations and manage global transformation project delivery. This role demands deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong project delivery capabilities to drive digital transformation and operational excellence.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

Strategic Focus

• Develop and implement automation strategies aligned with business goals.
• Conduct market and technology analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Drive innovation through AI and Gen AI applications.
• Collaborate with Senior leadership to define priorities.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities across business functions.
• Lead the integration of RPA platforms and AI frameworks.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and automation tools.
• Oversee integration of new technologies.
• Drive digital innovation projects.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, IT, and business units.
• Communicate automation goals and progress effectively.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

Operational Management

• Optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead change initiatives and ensure smooth transitions.
• Implement best practices in automation delivery.
• Develop, manage, and report transformation project budgets.
• Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective resource use.
• Deliver high-quality automation solutions under tight deadlines.
• Apply standard project management methodologies.

People Leadership

• Lead and mentor automation specialists and developers.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic guidance to achieve automation goals

Governance & Risk

• Establish KPIs to measure automation impact.
• Ensure compliance and risk mitigation in automation deployments.
• Use data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.

Experience & Personal Attributes

Experience

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, or related field).
• 15+ years of experience in automation, AI, and digital transformation.
• 2+ years of experience in AI is preferred.
• Proven experience in financial services or banking environments.
• Strong understanding of RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere), AI/Gen AI frameworks, and data analytics platforms
• Must be a Certified RPA Developer (UiPath/Automation Anywhere/Blue Prism/Power Automate).
• Certified Scrum Product Owner is preferred
• Certification in AI/GenAI/ML (e.g., Google AI, Microsoft AI, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is Good to have.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is Good to have.
