Position Overview

The Senior Principal Engineer provides strategic technical leadership across our entire engineering organization. This role requires a unique combination of deep technical expertise, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to drive organizational-wide technical initiatives while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Team Collaboration & Influence

• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to align on feature expectations and quality benchmarks.
• Lead technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams, driving accountability and shared success.
• Play an active role in hiring, onboarding, and developing top engineering talent, contributing to a high-performing test engineering community.
• Partner with executive staff to drive technical strategy
• Articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Balance technical vision with business objectives and market needs
• Drive organization-wide technical initiatives and platform adoption

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 12 years of software engineering experience
• Proven track record of leading significant technical initiatives

Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, architecture, and scalability
• Strong background in software engineering principles and patterns
• Proven experience successfully executing organization-wide technical initiatives
• Drive organization-wide technical strategies and platform adoption
• Enable rapid team adoption of new systems and platforms
• Expert understanding of software development fundamentals
• Experience with agile development methodologies
