About the Role

We're looking for an expert Voice Engineer who thrives at the intersection of Telephony, VoIP architecture, and AI infrastructure. This role is critical to designing, building, and maintaining the end-to-end voice systems that power our voice-enabled autonomous digital workers. You will be responsible for architecting scalable SIP solutions, developing core voice media handling features, and ensuring high-quality audio transmission for intelligent, multi-agent conversational flows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and Develop End-to-End Voice Systems:

Design and build high-availability VoIP infrastructure and media servers to support real-time voice conversations for AI agents.
- SIP & Media Stack Management:

Deeply manage SIP signaling, RTP media streams, and WebRTC gateways. Troubleshoot complex call flows and negotiation issues.
- System Reliability & Quality:

Monitor voice quality metrics (MOS, Jitter, Packet Loss) and resolve incidents across global telephony carriers and voice gateways.
- Integration with AI Services:

Collaborate with engineering to integrate voice telephony streams with Speech-to-Text (STT) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) engines for seamless LLM interactions.
- Tooling & Observability:

Build and manage observability pipelines specifically for SIP traffic using tools like Homer, SIP3, or custom telemetry.
- Documentation & Standards:

Create high-quality documentation for voice architectures and maintain industry-standard security protocols (TLS/SRTP).

Requirements

• Education:

BE/BTech/BS or MS in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience:

5+ years of experience in VoIP Engineering, Telephony Architecture, or Software Development focusing on Real-Time Communications.
- Expert SIP Knowledge:

Deep understanding of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), SDP, RTP/RTCP, DTMF, and VoIP standards.
- Telephony Infrastructure:

Hands-on experience developing or architecting with open-source telephony engines like
FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, Asterisk, or Opensips

- Cloud & Network Proficiency:

Proficiency in AWS/Azure networking, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for scaling media servers.
- Observability:

Experience with voice observability tools like
Homer, SIP3

, Wireshark, and Prometheus.
- Programming Skills:

Strong coding ability in Python, Go, C++, or Lua to develop custom telephony applications and scripts.
- AI/LLM Exposure:

Experience supporting Voice AI, Conversational AI, or integrating telephony with LLM orchestration frameworks.
- Speech Technologies:

Familiarity with ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) and TTS (Text-to-Speech) APIs (e.g., Google Speech, Azure Cognitive Services, Nuance).
- WebRTC:

Experience with WebRTC architecture and browser-based voice communication.
