Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Rent Collection Specialist to join our team in New Delhi. This full-time role requires a proactive individual with up to 10 years of experience. The successful candidate will manage rent collections, using their expertise to ensure efficient processes and tenant satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in property management software to track tenant information, payments, and lease agreements.
  • Experience in accounts receivable management to effectively handle billing notices and payment collections.
  • Skilled in Excel for data analysis to generate accurate reports on rent collection metrics and trends.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills to navigate sensitive tenant interactions regarding payment issues.
  • Familiarity with legal regulations on rent collection to ensure compliance with local laws and policies.
  • Knowledge of automated payment systems to facilitate efficient and timely rent processing.
  • Understanding of debt recovery processes to manage and resolve overdue accounts effectively.
  • Must have proficiency in tenant communication platforms for effective and responsive communication. (Mandatory skill)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire rent collection process, ensuring all payments are collected on time and accurately recorded.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing any payment queries or concerns promptly.
  • Implement strategies for reducing late payments and improving overall tenant compliance.
  • Prepare regular reports on rent collection status, highlighting areas for improvement to senior management.
  • Coordinate with the legal team to handle cases of delinquent accounts and initiate necessary legal actions.
  • Conduct periodic audits and assessments of accounts receivable to enhance rent collection efficiencies.
  • Ensure all rent collection activities comply with the legal framework and company policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for tenants, fostering a clear communication channel for rent-related inquiries.
