Role Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior QA Engineer with a developer's mindset to lead the quality initiatives for our core financial technology platforms. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of quality, responsible for designing and implementing advanced test strategies for complex, internet-scale applications. You will mentor team members, drive the evolution of our automation frameworks, and ensure our software is "bulletproof" before it reaches our clients in the finance and government sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans for new and existing features across our .NET, ColdFusion, and React technology stack.
• Lead the architecture and enhancement of our test automation frameworks using NUnit and XUnit, promoting reusable components and efficient test execution.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QA engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Act as the primary QA advocate within an Agile/Scrum team, championing quality best practices throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Perform deep-dive analysis of complex defects, identifying root causes and collaborating with developers on resolutions.
• Define and track key quality metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, automation ROI) to provide clear insights into product quality and team performance.
• Ensure that our applications meet stringent requirements for security, scalability, and performance.
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end quality of major features, from initial design review to final production sign-off.

Required Technical Skills

• Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in C# (.NET). Familiarity with ColdFusion and JavaScript (React) is highly desirable.
• Test Automation Frameworks: Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with NUnit and/or XUnit.
• Database Technologies: Advanced proficiency in writing and executing complex SQL queries for data validation in SQL Server and/or MariaDB/PostgreSQL/Oracle.
• API Testing: Extensive experience with testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, RestSharp, or similar.
• CI/CD: Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a significant focus on test automation.
• Proven track record of working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment.
• Demonstrated experience testing complex, mission-critical, multi-tiered applications.
• Strong coding background and the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient test code.
• A mindset of ownership and accountability, with a passion for delivering flawless software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, K6).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience in the FinTech or GovTech industries.
• ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications.
