Job Summary:

Apex CoVantage India Pvt. Ltd. is seeking multiple detail-oriented XML Analysts to join our dynamic e-publishing and content development team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for analyzing, structuring, and transforming digital content into XML formats aligned with publishing standards such as JATS, DITA, DocBook, or custom DTDs/Schemas. This role bridges the gap between content creation and technical production, ensuring high-quality output across various digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze source content (Word, PDF, HTML, etc.) and convert or structure it into XML-based formats.
  • Work with various XML schemas and DTDs such as JATS, DITA, DocBook, or client-specific schemas.
  • Validate XML files using tools such as Oxygen XML Editor, XMetaL, or other XML IDEs.
  • Collaborate with content writers, editors, and designers to ensure structured data meets editorial and formatting standards.
  • Develop and maintain XSLT transformations to convert XML to HTML, EPUB, or other output formats.
  • Troubleshoot XML-related issues in content production workflows.
  • Perform quality checks and validate final XML against schema standards and customer specifications.
  • Document XML workflows and create guidelines or best practices for the editorial/content team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Publishing, or a related field.
  • 02 years of experience in XML analysis or content structuring within an e-publishing or digital content environment. Freshers with a fair knowledge of XML programming will also be preferred.
  • Strong understanding of XML, DTDs, XSDs, XSLT, XPath, and schema validation.
  • Familiarity with publishing formats such as EPUB, PDF, HTML, and digital content workflows.
  • Knowledge of metadata standards and accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG).
  • Ability to handle large volumes of content and maintain consistency and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
