Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Civil Lab Estimator & Manager Assistant to support both the estimation of project costs and the day-to-day operations of the civil laboratory. This dual-role position will involve preparing cost estimates for soil, concrete, asphalt, and materials testing, as well as assisting the Civil Lab Manager in scheduling, reporting, inventory management, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities: Estimation Duties:

  • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine testing requirements.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil lab services, including material, labor, equipment, and overhead.
  • Communicate with clients, project managers, and engineers to clarify project scopes and requirements.
  • Maintain and update pricing databases, rate sheets, and estimation templates.
  • Generate bid proposals and ensure timely submission of estimates for both public and private sector projects.
  • Track and report on bid success rate and pricing trends.

Manager Assistant Duties:

  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of laboratory and field testing services.
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and ensure calibration of testing equipment.
  • Support the preparation and review of test reports and ensure they meet required standards (ASTM, AASHTO, etc.).
  • Help implement and monitor quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) protocols.
  • Maintain organized records of test results, calibration logs, and certifications.
  • Liaise with clients and contractors to facilitate project communication.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, report formatting, and meeting minutes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in a civil lab environment or construction estimating.
  • Familiarity with material testing standards and procedures (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18, ₹25,000.00 per month
