Job Title
: Sr. Analyst Direct Tax

Location
: Mumbai

Job Purpose
The incumbent will be supporting taxation team in compliance / litigation / advisory with the tax laws i.e. direct tax and international tax. Candidate should have minimum of
3 to 6 years
of experience.

Technical Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of direct tax and international tax

Educational Qualification: C.A.

Overall Experience required: 3 to 5 years

RESPONSIBILITY AREAS;

  • Assisting taxation team in relation to the following:
  • Filing income- tax returns of group entities, individuals, and trusts

Tax audit finalisation

  • Preparing advance tax computations
  • Tax audit finalisation
  • Handling assessment and reassessment proceedings i.e. preparation of submissions, collating details from the respective business teams, representation before tax authorities, coordination with consultants, etc.
  • Handling appellate proceedings i.e. preparation and filing of appeals/submissions, collating details from the respective business teams, assistance in representation before the appellate authorities, coordination with consultants / counsels, etc.
  • Drafting stay applications, rectification applications, submissions in penalty proceedings, etc.
  • Analysing DTAA for withholding of tax on foreign remittances (Form 15CA/15CB)
  • Applying & obtaining lower / nil tax deduction certificates
  • Doing research and preparing advice on direct / international tax queries raised by business team from time to time
  • Review of contracts, transactions, proposed business models etc. and provide optimal business solutions within tax framework.
  • Keeping abreast of the changes in tax laws and updating the business team on a timely basis
  • Maintenance of tax tracker for all tax payments, notices, appeals and refunds.
  • Preparing Case for Opinion for Counsels in respect of tax issues
  • Setting up SOPs on various tax matters
  • Implementation of automation solution for effective and efficient tax management
