Job Description: Graphic Designer & Social Media Specialist – MEEPLECON (Mumbai)

About MEEPLECON MEEPLECON is India's premier board gaming convention, a vibrant celebration of tabletop gaming that draws enthusiasts, families, schools, colleges, and industry professionals. Each year, we craft an immersive experience filled with tournaments, showcases, and community events, making us one of India's most unique gaming gatherings. We're seeking a visually creative and digitally savvy Graphic Designer & Social Media Specialist to boost MEEPLECON's brand presence and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Conceptualize and create visually compelling graphics for all marketing materials, including social media posts, digital ads, website banners, email newsletters, posters, and flyers.
  • Ensure all designs align with MEEPLECON's brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent and appealing aesthetic.
  • Adapt designs for various platforms and formats, optimizing for engagement and clarity.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to translate campaign objectives into effective visual content.

Social Media Management

  • Develop and implement engaging social media strategies across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and potentially others relevant to the gaming community.
  • Create, schedule, and publish high-quality, platform-specific content, including graphics, short videos, and written copy.
  • Actively engage with the MEEPLECON community by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Monitor social media trends, analyze performance metrics, and provide insights to optimize future campaigns.
  • Identify and liaise with relevant influencers and gaming communities to expand MEEPLECON's reach.

Content Creation & Coordination

  • Assist in coordinating with content creators to ensure visual assets are produced and integrated effectively.
  • Maintain and update visual elements on the MEEPLECON website, ensuring a user-friendly and visually attractive experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer and/or Social Media Manager, ideally with 1-3 years in a relevant role.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing graphic design skills and successful social media campaigns.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, their algorithms, best practices, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent visual storytelling and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for gaming, youth engagement, or event promotion is a significant advantage.
