Reports to: [e.g., Data Manager / Administrative Supervisor]

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Data Entry Clerk to input, update, and maintain accurate information in our systems and databases. The ideal candidate will have fast typing skills, excellent attention to detail, and a strong understanding of data confidentiality principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter customer and account data from source documents within time limits
  • Compile, verify accuracy, and sort information according to priorities
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities, and check output
  • Maintain and update database systems or CRM platforms
  • Scan documents and print files when needed
  • Keep information confidential
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar position
  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch-typing system is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and data entry software
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High school diploma; additional computer training or certification is a plus
