QA/QC & Process Engineer

Location: Bathinda, Punjab, India

Industry: Sheet Metal Fan Blade Manufacturing

Experience Required: 3 years

Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or related field

Role Overview

We are seeking a QA/QC & Process Engineer to join our sheet metal fan blade manufacturing team. The role is critical in ensuring zero defect, high-quality production, while driving process improvements to optimize cost, manpower, and efficiency. The engineer will also be responsible for implementing latest manufacturing processes and best practices to enhance production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards across all production processes.
  • Inspect and validate incoming raw materials, in-process production, and final finished goods.
  • Identify root causes of defects, initiate corrective/preventive actions, and ensure zero-defect delivery.
  • Maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and compliance certifications.

Process Engineering

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
  • Optimize manpower allocation and workflow to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for production teams.
  • Implement lean manufacturing and Kaizen practices to minimize waste and rework.

Innovation & Technology Adoption

  • Research and evaluate new sheet metal forming, stamping, and coating technologies.
  • Work closely with R&D and production teams to integrate latest processes into manufacturing.
  • Support automation initiatives and deployment of precision tools for higher accuracy.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC techniques, inspection methods, and testing standards for sheet metal.
  • Hands-on experience with measuring instruments (vernier calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, etc.).
  • Ability to analyze defects and lead corrective actions using problem-solving tools (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems, lean manufacturing, and process improvement methods.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD/SolidWorks (preferred).

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience in sheet metal, stamping, or fan blade manufacturing (preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in quality assurance and process engineering roles.
