Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux Administrator with expertise in Linux system administration, Change Data Capture (CDC), and Apache Kafka. This role involves managing critical infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and supporting real-time data streaming across distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Troubleshoot system and network issues; ensure high availability and performance
- Implement security controls and ensure compliance with policies
- Automate tasks using Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages
- Monitor system performance and optimize resources
- Set up and manage CDC pipelines (e.g., Debezium, GoldenGate)
- Administer Kafka clusters; manage topics, partitions, and consumer groups
- Integrate Kafka with data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
- Ensure data reliability, consistency, and monitor real-time flows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior admins
Qualifications:
- 6–10 years of experience in Linux administration
- Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, CDC tools, and stream processing
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and config tools (Ansible, Puppet)
- Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization
- Preferred certifications: RHCE, Linux+, Kafka, or Data Engineering
Immediate joiners preferred
