Mechanical Manager
to manage the maintenance function of the
Division A of the unit

ensuring maximum equipment availability, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety standards, thereby supporting continuous production in the tire manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for all mechanical equipment in the Mixing Department (mixers, conveyors, batch-off units, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, etc.) and sections under Division A.
  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance activities to avoid production interruptions.
  • Optimize maintenance processes to improve machine reliability and efficiency.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of breakdowns to implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Ensure quick response and minimal downtime during equipment failures.
  • Manage and guide a team of engineers, supervisors, technicians, and fitters.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training to enhance technical skills and safety awareness.
  • Monitor machine performance metrics and initiate improvements to enhance productivity and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels of critical spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and implement hazard elimination measures.
  • Maintain updated maintenance records, equipment history cards, and SOPs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on downtime, maintenance costs, and KPIs.

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Diploma holder can also apply.
  • 5-6 years of experience in a relevant engineering role, in the Division A of a tire industry.
  • Technical Knowledge
    of
    Operation & maintenance of Banbury/Intermix mixers, conveyors, batch-off units, dust collection systems, hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems and automation.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and maintenance software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
