Position Overview

This role is centred around end-to-end sourcing, vendor management, and product R&D.

You'll be responsible for identifying the right suppliers, developing high-quality and cost-effective products, and ensuring smooth coordination from sampling to production. You will play a key role in discovering new materials, understanding market needs, and transforming ideas into ready-to-launch lifestyle products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source materials, manufacturers, and vendors across lifestyle categories
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and quality expectations
  • Conduct product R&D: materials research, prototype development, and sample evaluation
  • Coordinate sampling, testing, and product refinement
  • Maintain production timelines and ensure quality standards
  • Identify new product opportunities by researching trends and market gaps
  • Work closely with design, marketing, and operations teams for product rollout

Key Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, sourcing, or product development
  • Strong knowledge of vendor ecosystems (local + international preferred)
  • Understanding of production processes, materials, and costing
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Good analytical ability to evaluate samples, quality, and pricing
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
