Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist – Faculty Hiring
Location: Gurugram

Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist with proven experience in faculty recruitment and academic hiring. The ideal candidate will partner with academic leaders and HR to attract, assess, and onboard high-caliber educators and researchers who align with the institution's mission and values. This role requires a strong understanding of academic hiring processes, including search committee coordination, diversity recruitment, and compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end faculty recruitment processes, from requisition approval to offer acceptance and onboarding.
- Collaborate with deans, department chairs, and search committees to develop recruitment strategies that meet academic and institutional goals.
- Design and execute sourcing strategies to attract diverse and qualified faculty candidates through digital platforms, conferences, and professional networks.
- Oversee the search committee process, ensuring compliance with university policies, equal opportunity guidelines, and best practices in academic recruitment.
- Screen applications, coordinate interviews, and facilitate candidate assessments and reference checks.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on market trends, compensation benchmarking, and candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Support faculty onboarding and orientation, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Partner with HR leadership to enhance employer branding and faculty retention initiatives.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of recruitment experience, with at least 2 years focused on faculty or academic hiring.
- Familiarity with higher education structures, accreditation standards, and academic search processes.
- Experience managing diversity-focused recruitment initiatives.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of academic labor markets and faculty appointment types (tenure-track, adjunct, research, clinical, etc.).
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in recruitment practices.
