Roles and Responsibilities

  • Review medical records, including radiology reports, lab results, and other relevant documents to accurately code diagnoses using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS codes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards for accurate coding practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnosis or treatment details when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 6-11 years of experience as a Certified Clinical Coder (CCC) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of clinical rules for accurate coding decisions based on documentation provided by healthcare providers.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EHRs) such as Epic Systems or similar platforms.
