As a Manual QA Tester, you will be responsible for testing software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and function as intended. Your primary role will involve executing test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers and product teams to improve the software's overall quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on the project requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure the software meets user expectations.
  • Identify, record, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with developers and project managers to resolve issues and improve the product's quality.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover unanticipated defects and edge cases.
  • Report test results, findings, and defects clearly and effectively.
  • Ensure that the software works across different environments and devices.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews, providing insights on testing progress and any roadblocks.
  • Ensure all test documentation (test cases, test plans, etc.) is maintained up-to-date and accurate.
  • Help improve internal testing processes and best practices to enhance product quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (1-3 years) as a Manual QA Tester.
  • Strong understanding of software testing life cycles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience in writing and executing test cases.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Knowledge of testing web applications, mobile applications, and desktop software.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues within software systems.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SQL and basic database concepts for data validation.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages.
