The Role

We are seeking a meticulous and passionate Software Test Engineer to join our growing team in India. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our groundbreaking Arcadia platform. You will be involved in the entire development lifecycle, designing and executing tests to identify issues, validate functionality, and guarantee a seamless user experience for our customers.

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical foundation, a creative approach to breaking software, and a collaborative spirit to work closely with our development team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases and test plans for new and existing features.
• Perform comprehensive testing across the entire application stack, including:
• UI/UX Testing: Ensure a consistent, intuitive, and bug-free user interface.
• API Testing: Validate backend services through REST and GraphQL API testing.
• Functional & Regression Testing: Verify new features and ensure existing functionality remains unaffected.
• Stress, Load, and Performance Testing: Assess system stability and scalability under peak conditions.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution using our issue-tracking system.
• Build and maintain robust, scalable, and automated testing frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide early feedback.
• Generate and report on test metrics, including the test coverage matrix, defect densities, and open defect reports.
• Champion quality assurance best practices throughout the development process.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of proven experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role.
• Strong experience in designing and executing test cases for complex software systems.
• Hands-on experience with REST and/or GraphQL API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Proficiency in UI automation testing using modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Experience with performance and stress testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) for test automation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred (A Plus):

• Experience in the CAD, CAE, EDA, or automotive software industry.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into them (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience testing large-scale, cloud-native SaaS applications.
