Job Summary: The Workday Application Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for one or
more Workday modules such as Human Resources, Payroll, Recruitment, or Benefits. This role is
responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of the assigned module
to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals.
Reporting to the Workday Architect / Manager, the specialist collaborates with business
stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into effective
Workday configurations, resolve issues, and implement improvements that drive efficiency,
scalability, and user satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert for a specific Workday module (e.g., HR, Payroll,
Recruitment, Benefits).
Configure, maintain, and optimize the assigned Workday module to meet business and
operational needs.
Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions.
Manage and resolve module-specific issues and provide timely technical support.
Document system changes, configurations, and process updates in line with
organizational standards.
Support system upgrades, testing, and user acceptance to ensure smooth transitions.
Identify process improvement and automation opportunities within the Workday
module.
Collaborate with HR, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration
across modules.
Provide training, guidance, and documentation to end-users and team members.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the assigned Workday module.
Partner with vendors or external consultants for module-specific enhancements or
integrations.
Recommend functional and technical improvements to enhance system efficiency and
user experience.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in HR, IT, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on Workday experience with expertise in at least one
module (e.g., HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting).
In-depth knowledge of the assigned Workday modules functionality, configurations,
and integrations.
Understanding of HR processes and workflows.
Experience participating in Workday implementation or system upgrade projects.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and testing skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and
non-technical teams.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred: Workday Pro certification in the assigned module and/or 6+ years of
related experience.
