AVP - Investment Product Research

Position Purpose
This is a senior role responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of product research, ensuring that the company's product strategy is informed and backed by data and insights. This includes identifying research needs, determining research methodologies, and ensuring that research findings are actionable.
Direct Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of product researchers: This involves hiring, training, and mentoring researchers, as well as managing their projects and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.
- Conducting and analyzing research: Conducting in-depth research and financial analysis of markets and economies and staying abreast of market and investment trends
- Translating research findings into product recommendations: This involves identifying opportunities for product improvement and innovation and translating research insights into concrete product requirements such as model portfolios and dynamic investment baskets
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams: This includes working closely with product managers and marketing teams to ensure that research findings are translated into product ideas and client communications
- Staying up-to-date with the latest research methodologies and trends: This ensures that the product research team is using the most effective techniques to gather insights and drive product selection and tracking, creation of investment baskets and success of these offerings.
- Measuring the impact of research: This involves tracking key metrics to assess the effectiveness of research efforts and ensure that they deliver value to the business. Evaluating the performance and strategy of third-party investment product offerings including mutual funds, PMS, AIF, etc. On-going review of investment products available on shelf
Contributing Responsibilities:
- Contributing to creation of investment strategy of the organisation based on research house-view across asset classes
- Contributing to content for media queries
