The PLC Operator is responsible for managing the batching process through PLC systems, ensuring adherence to production and formulation plans. The role involves accurate batching operations, maintaining records, resolving operational issues, and ensuring smooth equipment functionality.

Sub - Responsibilities

PLC Operation

· Collect production and formulation plans from the Shift In-charge.

· Maintain records of prepared batches and ensure batching as per formulation.

· Oversee manual and premix dumping of raw materials for each batch.

· Take corrective actions for wrong batching or batching variations.

· Ensure timely batching through PLC systems.

· Perform periodic calibration and validation of weighing hoppers.

· Monitor physical stock of raw materials and prevent intermixing during batching.

· Ensure the smooth functioning of batching equipment.

Other Activities

· Ensure accurate raw material consumption as per formulation.

· Maintain monthly batch analysis reports and optimize batch performance.

· Work towards reducing spillage losses and cleaning magnets at dumping hoppers.

· Report any abnormalities observed in the PLC system to the Unit In-charge.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization at the workplace.

3. Qualification & Experience

Educational Qualifications:

(Additional Certification Required if any)

· Graduation/Post-Graduation in a relevant field.

Relevant Experience:

· 3 to 5 years in PLC operations or similar roles.
