Analyst / Consultant - Life Actuarial
The Business Analyst/Consultant/Senior Consultant will assist in extensive audit and consulting work by applying US GAAP, STAT and TAX, IFRS17 and LDTI regulations. The professionals will apply their modeling and technical skills to develop/modify actuarial tools that validate various financial cashflows and results generated by life insurance companies.
Work you'll do
Assist in performing actuarial calculations to validate various actuarial results such as reserves, embedded values etc. The work done will mainly support audit and consulting activities undertaken by the firm. The work may include one or more items from the below list (not exhaustive):
* Build/modify excel spreadsheets/actuarial software that project and validate the cashflows generated by insurance products
* Acquire knowledge and remain well versed with US products and Regulations
* Apply US GAAP, STAT and TAX, IFRS17 and LDTI regulations to products for calculating reserves, and other cashflows
* Work on Prophet and AXIS Modelling Projects
* Work on ALS Projects, Python and PolySystems
* Work with insurance policy administration systems
* Interpret assumptions and experience studies results of insurance companies

Qualification:
* Graduation/Post Graduation with mathematics/statistics or any subject with sizeable mathematical content
* The candidate is expected to be pursuing Actuarial certification form IFOA, IAI or SOA. And should have at least cleared 2-5 actuarial exams. Specifically, CT1 (CM1), CT3 (CS1) & CT5 (CM1).
* Min 1 yr of relevant work experience in life insurance actuarial domain.
Preferred Skills:
* Basic to Advance knowledge and experience in Actuarial software including Prophet, AXIS, Moses shall be critical factor for hiring.
* Strong Product knowledge is expected (specifically US or Indian products), with experience in Pricing, Valuation or Reporting.
* Candidate is expected to possess strong life actuarial technical skills with a strong consulting mindset. Who could work on multiple clients and have extremely good communication skills.
* Any experience of US GAAP/US STAT or experience in the US industry shall be preferred.
* Prophet/AXIS experience shall be advantageous.
* Any experience on Policy Administration systems like Ingenium, Life CAD, Life Asia, FAST, SAS etc. with a background of Actuarial testing shall be a plus
* IFRS 17 and LDTI experience/knowledge will be a plus

* Significant Prophet modeling experience including extended formulae and ALS Previous consulting
