Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer who can take ownership of projects, guide junior developers, and implement advanced WordPress solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving ability, and experience in building enterprise-grade WordPress & WooCommerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of custom WordPress/WooCommerce solutions.
  • Architect custom themes, plugins, and complex integrations.
  • Optimize websites for high performance, SEO, and security at scale.
  • Implement advanced WooCommerce customizations (checkout flow, payment gateways, order workflows, automation, A/B testing).
  • Work on API design, integrations, and third-party services.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
  • Collaborate with project managers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority issues in live projects.

Must-Have Skills

  • 5-10 years of hands-on WordPress/WooCommerce development.
  • Expertise in custom theme and plugin development (not just customization).
  • Strong in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Proven experience with website optimization, security hardening, and scalable architectures.
  • Experience with Git, staging/production workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor junior developers.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Headless WordPress (React, , or Gatsby).
  • Knowledge of server/hosting management (AWS, SiteGround, Cloudways, etc.).
  • Familiarity with schema markup, SEO automation, and analytics integrations (GA4, FB Pixel, GTM).
  • Exposure to multi-site WordPress setups and enterprise WooCommerce stores.
