As a Support Engineer - Global Tools, you will drive digital innovation by leading critical technology initiatives with global teams. You'll design and implement solutions that impact millions of users worldwide, supporting Volvo's vision for autonomous, electric, and connected vehicles.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Development
- Lead development and implementation using Azure DevOps, Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Quality Metrics, Salesforce Community Cloud (Experience Cloud), Salesforce DevOps (Gearset/Copado), Salesforce Sales Cloud, and Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable solutions supporting global operations.
- Collaborate with APEC stakeholders across product management and engineering teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with international teams using Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint, and Azure DevOps
- Participate actively in Agile processes and sprint planning
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation across regions
- Support 24/7 operations through on-call rotations and incident management
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities
- Contribute to roadmap planning and architecture decisions
- Mentor junior team members and foster knowledge sharing initiatives
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
Professional Experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development, system administration, or related fields
- Deep expertise in Azure DevOps, Salesforce DevOps (Gearset/Copado), Salesforce Platform fundamentals, Salesforce Sales Cloud, and Salesforce Service Cloud with proven implementation success
- Experience collaborating effectively with global teams across multiple time zones
- Industry knowledge in automotive, manufacturing, or enterprise software (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Azure DevOps, Functional Testing, Integration Testing, Quality Metrics, Salesforce Community Cloud, Salesforce DevOps, Salesforce Sales Cloud, and Salesforce Service Cloud
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns and microservices architecture
- Proficiency in database design and optimization using SQL and NoSQL technologies

- Professional email etiquette and presentation skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts
