Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer with a strong background in networking technologies and experience with DITA and XML to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation for our products and services. Responsibilities:Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and product managers to gather information and understand documentation requirements.
Develop, organize, and write high-quality technical documents including user manuals, installation guides, and API documentation. Utilize DITA and XML to create structured, reusable content that adheres to industry standards. Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accurate, and meets the needs of the target audience.
Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect product updates and changes. Work with development and support teams to identify documentation repositories and determine the best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage. Create content in various formats, including video tutorials, infographics, and interactive guides, to enhance user understanding.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.3+ years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on networking technologies. Proficiency in DITA and XML for structured authoring. Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and illustrations. Experience with documentation tools such as Arbortext Editor, Oxygen XML Editor, or similar.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with content management systems and version control systems. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
