Role & responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support business requirements.
  • Build and maintain data models using Power BI and ensure data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for extracting and transforming large datasets.
  • Develop and maintain ETL workflows to integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand KPIs, and deliver tailored BI solutions.
  • Create and manage DAX calculations and Power Query scripts to enable advanced analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and performance best practices.
  • Provide technical documentation, user training, and support for BI reports and dashboards.
  • Continuously evaluate new Power BI features and recommend improvements for BI capabilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in Power BI development.
  • Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Dataflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL (query writing, optimization, stored procedures, joins, indexing).
  • Hands-on experience in ETL development and integrating data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of DAX functions and advanced data modeling concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure (Azure Data Factory, Databricks) and Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
