Role & responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and finance.
  • Develop data models and optimize data sources for efficient report generation.
  • Integrate data from ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics), MES, SCADA, and other manufacturing systems.
  • Write complex DAX queries to support analytical insights.
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Implement row-level security (RLS) and user access roles.
  • Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business units to ensure effective BI solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Power BI reports and datasets.
  • Stay current with Power BI and related Microsoft technologies to implement best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Power BI development and data warehousing.
  • Proficient in DAX, Power Query (M), and advanced Power BI functionalities.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).
  • Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Talend, Informatica).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing data such as production metrics, inventory, downtime, OEE, and quality KPIs.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
