The Analyst role for the
Asia, Africa, and Europe
regions at UPL will be responsible for driving
Information Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
initiatives across the regions, ensuring alignment with UPL's global information security policies and regulatory frameworks. This role involves close collaboration with business functions, IT, information security team, legal, HR, and external stakeholders to implement and maintain a robust security posture for the regions. The Analyst will be responsible for effectively managing security risks, ensuring security compliance across regions, conducting information security risk assessments and treatment, managing third-party risks, performing business impact analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the regional SPOC for all GRC-related initiatives, ensuring adherence to UPL's global information security policies, frameworks, and applicable laws.
  • Support the development, rollout, implementation, and monitoring of information security policies and processes across the region.
  • Conduct risk assessments and treatments, identify key risks, and recommend mitigation strategies. Share non-compliance issues and open risks with the central IS Governance team periodically.
  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA), ITGC audits, self-assessments, control testing, etc.
  • Evaluate and assess third-party vendors and partners for third-party risk management.
  • Support internal and external audits, assessments, and security certifications.

Qualifications

  • BE/B.Tech
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 42001, NIST CSF etc.)
  • Possession of at least one cybersecurity certification such as
    ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, CISA, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Hands-on experience with
    GRC tools such as ServiceNow, Archer, OneTrust, and ManageEngine
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and their implications on cybersecurity, governance, and risk management.
  • Experience in AI policy development, conducting risk assessments, and performing audits is highly desirable.
