Job Description – Assistant Professor (Criminology)

Department: Criminology / Forensic Science

Required Qualifications:

  • M.Sc in Forensic Science / Forensic & Sciences
  • OR

  • B.Sc in Criminology

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant teaching or industry experienceKey Responsibilities:

  • Teach criminology and forensic science subjects at undergraduate level.

  • Prepare lesson plans, practical manuals, and teaching materials.
  • Conduct lectures, lab sessions, field activities, and student discussions.
  • Guide students in case study analysis, projects, internships, and fieldwork.
  • Evaluate student performance through exams, assignments, presentations, and practical assessments.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, workshops, and seminars.
  • Support research activities, paper publications, and student research supervision.
  • Maintain academic records, attendance, evaluations, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in syllabus development and continuous teaching improvement.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of criminology, forensic sciences, crime investigation procedures, and related laws.
  • Ability to teach practical aspects such as crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and lab analysis.
  • Good communication and academic presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Capacity to mentor and guide students in academic and field-related activities.

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of teaching or industry experience in Criminology / Forensic Science.
