DWS Corporate Function Technology

• DWS Corporate Function Technology team covers technology for corporate function like finance, risk, ALM, AFC, etc. This position is for the SIMS application specifically which is a financial data warehouse which provides KPIs for management, quarterly and annual reporting among other things. The application consists of an Oracle database and a Java web front-end.
• As a Java Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing the SIMS and FBRAE applications in collaboration with the engineering team and business.

Your key responsibilities

You will build, maintain, and optimize a web-based Java front-end application for a financial data warehouse, with a focus on delivering robust solutions to meet business needs. Your responsibilities include:

• Continue migrating the application to a modern ReactJS/Spring Boot technology stack, leveraging a Microservices-oriented architecture hosted on the Google Cloud Platform
• Continue the development and maintenance on a JSP, JQuery/Spring Boot application
• Collaborating with business stakeholders to design and implement new features
• Ensuring application stability by analyzing and resolving inquiries from the business, trouble shooting, and optimizing processes

Your skills and experience

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in Java development, with significant professional experience working with ReactJS and/or Spring Boot—this is a critical requirement for the role
• Experience in JSP and/or JQuery highly desirable
• Either full-stack developer or the strong willingness to learn the missing part
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
