Your key responsibilities

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
• Prepare and produce releases of software components
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review

Your skills and experience

As a Full Stack Java Developer your skills will include:

• Ambitious self-starter mindset who can serve as a strong advocate for our customers. We need proven analytical capabilities, operating system experience (Linux/Windows), and the tenacity to develop ideas.

• Experience with Java programming language (Java 17 will be a plus)

• Knowledge with various design and architectural patterns;

• Experience of Java application servers, ideally Tomcat

• Mockito and/or any automatic testing framework

• Experience of relational databases

• Languages and Frameworks: Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, React JS/Angular JS, J2EE, Hibernate, Junit, Cloud (GCP, Azure, AWS), Mockito

• Tools: GIT, Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven/Gradle, Linux/Unix shell scripting, JMS/MQ, Kafka

• Database: Postgres (preferred) Oracle

• Programming language knowledge in Python

• Utilizing Data Modelling tools, Domain Driven design and a strong knowledge of SQL and advanced data analysis to deliver good quality code within enterprise scale development (CI/CD)

• Experience with development utilising SDLC tools - Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Jenkins/TeamCity, OpenShift

• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems

• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code

• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications

Nice to have

• Experience of agile methodologies, ideally Scrum

• JMS/MQ experience
