Key Responsibilities1. Product Selection & Procurement
- Curate a compelling and trend-appropriate product range that aligns with the brand's target audience.
- Ensure timely procurement and product availability across all retail and online channels.
- Evaluate product performance and make strategic buying decisions for future assortments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
- Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure all products meet the required quality and compliance standards.
- Stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities.
- Conduct regular market research and use data-based insights to guide buying and assortment planning.
- Identify new product opportunities and support product development initiatives.
- Monitor stock levels and implement effective replenishment and allocation strategies.
- Work with inventory teams to optimize stock turnover and reduce excess/aging inventory.
- Define optimal pricing strategies to achieve desired gross profit (GP) margins.
- Review sales reports to analyze product performance by category, store, and channel.
- Make informed decisions on markdowns, promotions, reorders, and product phasing-out.
- Collaborate with finance and retail teams to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Coordinate closely with design, marketing, visual merchandising, and retail teams to ensure cohesive product launches.
- Provide VM and merchandising inputs to stores for better product display and sell-through.
- Partner with the E-commerce team to plan assortments, promotions, and strategies to boost online sales.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or category management (fashion/apparel industry preferred).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Understanding of retail and e-commerce operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising tools/software.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
