Role & responsibilities :

  • Formulation Development:
  • Develop new ointment formulations and improve existing ones.
  • Select appropriate excipients based on compatibility, functionality, and regulatory acceptance.
  • Conduct pre-formulation studies, solubility, and stability assessments.
  • Prepare lab-scale and pilot-scale batches.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes (mixing, homogenization, filling, etc.).
  • Prepare process validation and scale-up documents.
  • Documentation:
  • Prepare and maintain formulation development reports (FDRs), batch manufacturing records (BMRs), and specifications.
  • Support dossier preparation for regulatory submissions (ANDA, CTD, etc.).
  • Analytical Coordination:
  • Coordinate with the analytical department for testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Evaluate results for stability, viscosity, pH, spreadability, and other critical parameters.
  • Technology Transfer:
  • Support technology transfer from R&D to production.
  • Prepare and review technology transfer documents and protocols.
  • Regulatory & Quality Compliance:
  • Ensure formulations comply with GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
