Skills Profile

  • Graduate/Post Graduate with a Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Renewable Energy / Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering.
  • 1 to 4 years experience in the field of Solar power plants – residential roof, C&I, and ground mount solar plants
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and ability to research/interpret US electricity codes (NEC codes), AHJ requirements and Utility requirements.
  • Excellent English (verbal & written) communication skills to interact with clients from USA and Europe on a daily basis.
  • Knowledge of Solar Only, Solar Plus Battery, Battery only solar plants & EV charging infrastructure
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D modelling software (e.g., SketchUp), Aurora, Solar Graf and other relevant design tools would be a plus.

Job Description

  • Utilize AutoCAD, 3D modelling software, Aurora, Solar Graph, SketchUp, and other tools to design solar panel systems according to client specifications and project requirements.
  • Experience to independently carry out permit design and quality management for residential Solar projects.
  • Generate detailed technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for solar panel installations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine the optimal placement and configuration of solar panels.
  • Hands on ability to prepare Array layouts, Permit and Construction drawings, cable schedules and calculations, etc.
  • In depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEC, IEEE, CEC, CRC, CBC, CFC codes, etc & ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in solar and renewable energy technologies.
