Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Grafana Administrator to oversee the implementation, configuration, and management of Grafana for real-time monitoring, visualization, and alerting.

The role requires expertise in integrating Grafana with diverse data sources, creating dashboards, managing users, and maintaining system performance.

Key Responsibilities
Grafana Setup and Configuration :

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Grafana on on-premises or cloud infrastructure.
  • Integrate Grafana with data sources such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and other supported tools.

Dashboard Development

  • Design and develop custom dashboards to provide insights into system and application performance.
  • Create visually appealing and functional visualizations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Alerting And Notification

  • Configure alerting mechanisms and notification channels (e.g., Teams, PagerDuty, email).
  • Monitor system and application health using thresholds and advanced metrics.

Access Management

  • Administer user roles and permissions for secure and efficient access to Grafana.
  • Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) and LDAP integration if needed.

Performance Optimization

  • Monitor Grafana performance and optimize for scalability and speed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve performance and configuration issues.

Documentation And Training

  • Create documentation for Grafana configurations, dashboards, and best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members on Grafana usage.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and development teams to understand monitoring needs.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure Grafana meets business and operational requirements.

Security And Compliance

  • Ensure Grafana complies with security policies and best practices.
  • Regularly review and patch vulnerabilities in Grafana installations.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Grafana implementation, administration, and customization.
  • Experience with Grafana integrations (e.g, Prometheus, Graphite, InfluxDB, Elasticsearch).
  • Strong knowledge of time-series data and metrics visualization.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e., Prometheus) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Proficient in Linux/Unix system administration.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Grafana plugins and API usage.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
