Job Description
As an Intelligence Analyst at Rhombus, you will create impactful intelligence assessments on topics including foreign military activities, weapons development, global conflicts, and international stability to support India and Allied national security decision making. Analysts will fuse Rhombus's unique AI-derived data with a spectrum of open-source information to create these products.
Our Intelligence Analysts routinely perform thorough research and analysis across global security issues guided by client intelligence needs. Outputs are primarily delivered through written intelligence assessments that align with Indian Intelligence Community standards, as well as tailored briefings for internal and external audiences.
Candidates must excel in collaborative work and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as team success relies on close coordination within the intelligence team and with cross-functional partners. Candidates should be comfortable giving and receiving feedback to enhance collective output.
Successful candidates will be solution-oriented self-starters who are tech-savvy, able to identify problems and opportunities, and capable of proposing solutions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ability to multitask and prioritize is essential given the pace of global events and evolving client needs.
We are seeking a candidate with deep subject matter expertise in defense, military capabilities, weapons systems, and emerging security developments. The ideal candidate will be able to apply their regional and functional expertise to produce a high volume of high-quality analytic assessments under tight deadlines and with minimal review.
A writing sample will be requested as part of your application. Samples should be your original work, ideally produced within the last three years, 1–3 pages in length, and assess a geopolitical or international security-related topic.
Responsibilities
- Identify impactful intelligence topics based on a detailed understanding of customer intelligence needs and missions.
- Produce high-quality intelligence assessments that answer key customer intelligence questions in line with the Indian Intelligence Community analytic and writing standards.
- Utilize Rhombus's AI-informed intelligence capabilities and expert research skills to gather information that forms the foundation of intelligence products.
- Identify information gaps and collaborate with the Model and Data Development team to acquire sources that address those gaps.
- Apply structured analytic techniques to ensure products meet the highest standards.
- Brief finished intelligence products to internal and external audiences.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on defense, military, weapons, and security developments relevant to client needs.
- Support enhancement of Rhombus's intelligence capabilities by providing feedback on existing features and supporting the development of new applications and tools.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of analytic experience with subject matter expertise in military capabilities, weapons systems, and broader defense/security issues.
- Analytic experience and training within the Indian Intelligence Community or military is strongly desired.
- At minimum, a BA/BS in International Affairs, Political Science, Economics, or a related social science. Advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience producing written intelligence products tailored to specific client intelligence requirements.
- Experience delivering briefings on complex national security and international affairs topics.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative analytic methodologies.
- Intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence.
- Eligibility for a security clearance issued by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) or equivalent national authority. If you currently hold a clearance, please indicate the level and sponsoring organization.
- Familiarity with data analysis, statistics, data science, or coding (Python, etc.) is welcomed.
