Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Estimation Engineer / Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support project planning, budgeting, and cost management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking accurate quantities, preparing project budgets, tracking costs, and assisting with billing and scheduling activities to ensure smooth execution of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quantity Take-Offs
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and resources.
- Update BOQs based on design changes and revisions.
2. Budget Preparation
- Prepare detailed project budgets based on quantity take-offs and market rates.
- Support the management team in developing cost forecasts and financial planning.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks.
3. Extra Work Billing
- Prepare and verify additional/extra work claims.
- Coordinate with site teams to validate measurements and documentation.
- Submit timely bills for client approval and follow up on certifications.
4. Cost Tracking & Monitoring
- Track ongoing project costs and compare them with approved budgets.
- Maintain cost-control reports and highlight variances.
- Work closely with site engineers to update daily spending and material usage.
5. Schedule Preparation
- Assist in preparing project schedules and timelines.
- Update schedules based on work progress.
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely execution of planned activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in estimation or quantity surveying (construction industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of construction drawings and project specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15, ₹22,000.00 per month
