Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Software Quality Engineer / ETL Testing Specialist
to work closely with business and delivery teams to execute test strategies and ensure high-quality data solutions. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end testing of ETL processes, databases, data warehouses, reporting, and cloud analytics platforms, ensuring data integrity, completeness, and compliance with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the test strategy and approach for ETL, database, and cloud solutions.
  • Collaborate with developers, support teams, and offshore/onshore teams to execute testing activities including test case/script writing, data loads, and clarifications.
  • Track updates, progress, and issues in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Assign and review tasks for other test team members, providing guidance for test case and script development.
  • Analyze formal test results to identify and report defects, bugs, errors, and configuration issues.
  • Communicate test progress, results, and relevant metrics to project stakeholders.
  • Estimate and prioritize tasks for the test team, preparing closure reports and testing metrics.
  • Recommend improvements to testing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Execute integration, regression, and system testing as required.

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and/or SAP HANA.
  • Strong experience in ETL testing, including Master Data Management, Data Completeness, Data Cataloging, Data Leverage, and Data Quality.
  • Expertise in database testing, data comparison, and data transformation scripting.
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and Data Modelling.
  • Hands-on experience creating Stored Procedures, Functions, Tables, Cursors, Hashtables, and handling large data types.
  • Strong knowledge of Joins, Subqueries, CTEs, and complex SQL query writing.
  • Experience in testing reports, BO Universe, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with structured test methods, processes, and Agile/DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of Azure Infrastructure, Networking, and Cloud PaaS Analytics & Storage services.
  • Good understanding of Azure Security, including identity and access controls, key/secret management, network security, and threat awareness (DDoS, etc.).
  • Experience in SAP HANA projects is an added advantage.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
