Job Title: Optical Counselor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a well-spoken and customer-friendly Optical Counselor to assist clients in choosing the right eyewear based on their prescription, lifestyle, and preferences. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of optical products and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and understand their optical needs and preferences.
• Interpret and explain optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist.
• Assist customers in selecting suitable frames and lenses based on face shape, prescription, and style preferences.
• Recommend appropriate lens types, coatings, and accessories.
• Take accurate measurements such as pupillary distance (PD) and frame fitting adjustments.
• Provide information about ongoing offers, warranties, and after-sales services.
• Process orders, billing, and coordinate with the lab for timely delivery of eyewear.
• Handle customer complaints, product exchanges, or repairs professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper display of eyewear and accessories.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to the stores performance.
• Maintain proper records and ensure customer satisfaction follow-ups.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: 10+2 or Diploma (Optical/Healthcare/Retail background preferred)
• Experience: 3-4 years in optical sales or customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic knowledge of lenses, frames, and optical prescriptions
• Sales-oriented attitude with good product presentation skills
• Team player with a professional appearance

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of vision insurance and billing systems
• Experience using POS or optical software systems
• Fluency in regional/local languages

Work Environment:

• Retail showroom/clinic environment
• Weekend and shift-based work schedule may apply
