Optical counselor

• Customer Assistance:
• Greeting customers and assessing their eyewear needs.
• Guiding customers in selecting frames and lenses that match their prescription, facial features, and style.
• Providing expert advice on lens options, coatings, and frame materials.
• Ensuring a comfortable and accurate fit of eyewear.
• Technical Skills:
• Performing basic adjustments and minor repairs on frames.
• Interpreting prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists.
• Measuring patients' pupillary distance, vertex distance, and other measurements for accurate lens placement.
• Sales and Inventory Management:
• Processing sales transactions and handling payments.
• Maintaining accurate records of customer purchases and prescriptions.
• Managing inventory and restocking merchandise.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Communicating effectively with customers and other optical staff.
• Collaborating with optometrists and other professionals.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer inquiries.
• Professional Development:
• Staying up-to-date on the latest eyewear trends and technologies.
• Participating in ongoing training and development.
