Lead Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, reusable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Define and implement the automation strategy, standards, and best practices for the QA team.
  • Mentor and guide automation engineers, ensuring skill growth and productivity.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Select and evaluate appropriate testing tools, libraries, and frameworks.
  • Perform code reviews for automation scripts to ensure maintainability and efficiency.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report test execution results to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in test coverage, reliability, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with security and performance standards during the implementation of automation.
  • Troubleshoot and debug automation issues in complex environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 6–10 years in software testing, with at least 2–3 years in a lead automation role.
  • Programming: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
  • Good hands-on Automation Tools
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
