We are looking for an experienced
SAP Archiving Consultant
to design, implement, and manage data archiving strategies across SAP systems. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SAP Data Archiving (ADK), Information Lifecycle Management (ILM), and system performance optimization techniques to ensure regulatory compliance, optimal database performance, and reduced storage costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement
    SAP Data Archiving
    strategy across various SAP modules (FI, MM, SD, PP, HR, etc.).
  • Analyze system performance and recommend data volume management solutions.
  • Work closely with functional and BASIS teams to identify archiving objects and execute archiving sessions.
  • Implement and manage
    SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management)
    for data retention and deletion.
  • Configure and maintain
    ArchiveLink
    for document management and integration with content servers.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for archiving procedures, policies, and retention schedules.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA conversion projects related to data archiving.
  • Monitor archiving jobs, troubleshoot errors, and optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate with business users to determine data retention requirements and archiving frequency.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of SAP experience, with 5+ years in
    SAP Data Archiving
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    ADK-based archiving
    and
    ILM framework
    .
  • Experience with
    SAP ArchiveLink
    and content repository configuration.
  • Hands-on experience in multiple SAP modules' archiving objects (FI_DOCUMNT, SD_VBAK, MM_MATBEL, etc.).
  • Proficient in
    SARA
    transaction and related archiving tools.
  • Knowledge of
    SAP HANA data aging
    and
    data volume management
    concepts.
  • Experience with
    storage solutions and external content servers
    (OpenText, PBS, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with
    S/4HANA Data Archiving
    and
    Data Aging
    .
  • Exposure to
    GDPR, SOX, or other data compliance frameworks
    .
  • SAP ILM certification or relevant SAP certifications.
