Job Overview

The Application Support SME role is a full-time, mid-level position based in Guwahati. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field. The role focuses on managing and supporting Applications, Unix systems, and delivering solutions in a cloud-native environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Expertise in application support, with an ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently and swiftly.
  • Hands-on experience with ecommerce platforms (Mandatory skill) to ensure smooth operation and upkeep of high-traffic services.
  • Strong knowledge of Unix (Mandatory skill), capable of executing commands, scripting, and maintaining system integrity.
  • Proficiency in system monitoring, possessing the skills to both implement and manage monitoring tools to prevent downtime.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, contributing to scalable and agile application deployments.
  • Shell scripting experience to automate recurring tasks and to enhance system functionality with personalized scripts.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes for managing containerized applications and efficiently handling workload distribution.
  • Exposure to cloud environments, with an ability to adapt and manage applications on public and private cloud platforms.

  • Provide expert application support, diagnosing and resolving incidents to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and maintain finely tuned ecommerce platforms, enhancing user experience.
  • Manage Unix-based systems, ensuring optimal performance, continued reliability, and comprehensive data security.
  • Implement and maintain robust system monitoring tools, promptly identifying performance bottlenecks or issues.
  • Adopt microservices architecture for flexible, efficient development, and deployment processes.
  • Create and execute shell scripts to automate operational tasks, facilitating increased system efficiency.
  • Utilize Kubernetes to streamline application deployment, scaling, and maintenance in a container registry.
  • Collaborate in cloud infrastructure management, adapting unique client needs to compatible cloud solutions.
