About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and creative Unity Environment Designer to help us build visually stunning and highly optimized environments for mobile games. This is a remote position, open to both full-time and part-time candidates who are passionate about crafting immersive game worlds with performance in mind.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop 3D environments using Unity for mobile platforms (iOS/Android).
  • Optimize game scenes and assets for smooth performance on a wide range of mobile devices.
  • Work closely with artists, designers, and developers to create cohesive level designs.
  • Implement lighting, props, VFX, and shaders to bring environments to life.
  • Use techniques like Light Baking, Occlusion Culling, LODs, and Texture Atlasing to ensure high performance.
  • Maintain modular, reusable, and clean asset setups.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in Unity environment design (or a strong portfolio if fresher).
  • Good understanding of Unity's optimization techniques for mobile.
  • Knowledge of lighting, scene setup, and performance profiling.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software like Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max.
  • Strong visual sense of composition, storytelling, and aesthetic design.
  • Ability to manage time and deliver quality work remotely.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with URP and mobile shader optimization.
  • Prior work on published mobile games.
  • Flexible across both stylized and realistic environment styles.
