Job Description: HR cum Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR cum Accountant to handle both financial and HR operations in our company. The ideal candidate should be proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities with accuracy. Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and proficiency in accounting/HR tools are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Accounting Tasks

  • Maintain and update accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and process GST documents, invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and review daily financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Prepare and file tax returns; ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash-flow monitoring.
  • Coordinate with auditors and assist during financial audits.
  • Track office expenses and maintain accurate financial data.

HR & Administrative Tasks

  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, payroll inputs, and employee record management.
  • Support employee relations, attendance tracking, and HR documentation.
  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and employees professionally.
  • Answer and route phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in HR, accounting, or a combined HR–accounts role.
  • Software Knowledge: Zoho Books, Zoho People, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and a problem-solving approach.
