  1. Job Title: Mechanical CAD design Engineer with 3+ years of experience

2. Job Summary : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to work on design of mechanical systems for aerospace and defense applications. The key components to be designed and tested are the cooling systems, POD shells and RADOMEs.

  2. Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using the CAD tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo.

  3. Review the existing design and update as per the project requirements.
  4. Develop mechanical designs from concept through detailed engineering and prototyping to production.
  5. Create and maintain design documentation, including specifications, assembly instructions, and bills of materials (BOMs) as per standards.
  6. Support hardware development and testing, including troubleshooting and iterative design improvements and interactions with manufacturing house.
  7. Perform engineering calculations and simulations for structural analysis, stress, thermal, tolerance analysis of the designs.
  8. Select materials and components suitable for design, cost, and manufacturability.
  9. Conduct design reviews and implement feedback from peers and stakeholders.
  10. Support testing and validation of prototypes, analyze test data, and iterate on designs.
  11. Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure cost-effective and timely production.

4. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design for sub-systems and systems for Aerospace and Defense Applications is mandatory.
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Proven experience in designing mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace systems / avionics sub systems.
  • Experience in working for the defense related projects.
  • Experience in working on the force air-cooled and liquid cooled systems.
  • Understanding of the process and documentation requirements for airworthy qualification.
  • Experience of developing Air worthy certified products is added advantage.
  • Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
